It's Friday!

I'm so glad it's Friday. It's been a very long week. I've always wondered why the weeks go by so slow and the 2 days you have off go by faster than you want them too.

Our church is getting a load of pumpkins tomorrow for our Pumpkin Patch. This will be the 2nd year that we've done this. I'll be there taking all kinds of pictures tomorrow. I'm hoping that they will arrive on this tomorrow. The weather is suppose to be really nice. Batteries are charged up and camera is ready for tomorrow.

I've got this situation at work that I'm dealing with. It has to do with one of the managers that's been causing me problems. I was told by another manager that she was sexually harassing me!!!!! My biggest problem is that I'm not able to take this to the highest Manager due to these two managers are best friends. If I do that then it's just going to bring her down on me harder and harder. I've been doing lots of praying on this issue. I know that God will show me what step to take when the time is right!

That's all for tonight.

Take care,
Marilyn

Good Evening!

It's been a wonderful day here in Florida a little rain this morning, but then the sun came out for us.

Not much going on here today. Precious was groomed this afternoon. She gets so excited when she hears the groomer come to the front door. She's truly a wild child at heart!!!!!!

This is the latest of my Angels that I have added to my growing collection. She's the first one that I've ever seen laying down sleeping. When I saw her I just had to have her.

Well, that's about all for tonight. Hope to have more pictures very soon.

Take care,
Marilyn

Finally back in action!

Yes I'm finally back posting here again. I didn't realize that it's been so long since my last post. Things have been kind of crazy here.

Mom and Precious are doing good. Precious is going to be our very wild child! She's calm until I come out of my bedroom to sit on the sofa. Then watch out!

I'm still the Photographer for the Music Department of our church. I truly enjoy taking pictures at all the different functions that they have. This is the time of the year when I'm so busy that I'm having to check the calendar on a daily bases to see if there's any thing that I need to make sure that I have batteries ready for the camera. We have 2 programs coming up in the next couple of months. Plus we have our 2nd annual Pumpkin Patch starting up again this Saturday. Of course I'll be there taking pictures of all the pumpkins being unloaded off the huge semi truck.

Below are pictures of my garden for this season. Pretty soon I will be checking out all the stores to see what I can find for Christmas outside. I all ready have my eyes set on a Angel for outside that's at Big Lots. My thought is you can NEVER have to many Angels around.

This is my garden in front of our house decorated for Halloween and Fall. I have some Thanksgiving decorations to put out next. These gardens are my pride and joy. I have lot and lots of fun searching for things to put in my garden. I've been eyeing a few new angels to add next. You never can have to many Angels!!!

This is the side view of the garden that's right next to the front door as you're going into the house. I can't believe that when we first moved in, there was all kinds of bushes and weeds there. Now look at it now! I love how it turned out.

Well, that's all for now I'm hoping to keep up with this better now. It really feels good writing in the blog again.

Take care,
Marilyn

Precious's new toy

Precious just loves to chew on bones. So I found one at Walmart that I thought she might like. When she gets something new there's no stopping her from chewing and chewing on it.

Here she is with her new bone. We've all ready had to take the little rope off of it. She's always going to be my little rough house baby. Guess it's better she take her chewing out on the bones and my on me.

Good Evening!

Hope everyone had a wonderful week so far. I'm so glad it's Friday, the weekend is here! Wish there was a way to slow the weekend down some.

Precious turned a year old August 16th, it just doesn't seem like she's been part of the family that long! She's a hand full that's for sure.

Here's a picture of Mom and Precious.

Will be taking more pictures of Precious in the next few days.

Take care!

Precious almost 1yrs. old!

Hi Everyone,

I know it's been a very long time since I've actually written anything in my blog here.

Precious is so funny at times. If I make a noise she tilts her head sideways and looks at me. She's going to be a year old on August 16th. I can't believe that she's been with us almost a year all ready. Boy, time sure flies by so fast!

A dear friend from church and I are heading to Sea World tomorrow morning very early. I've been there a couple of times, but I've never seen the whole park before. Yes, I'm taking my camera with me. I'm a picture taking person. I just hope it doesn't rain on us tomorrow.

I'll let you know if I survived the park or not on Sunday.

Take care for now.

Surprise I'm back!

It's been a very long time since I've posted something on my blog. Life's little things seem to always get in the way sometimes. Time just flies by so fast!

Let's see if we can catch up on a few things. I do want to update you on our little Precious. She's not 7 months old. Her nickname is Wild Women!!!!! She's so wild and so fast. Seems like we're always saying NO to her. Below is a picture of Precious.

She loves to play, she never seems to stop all day long unless we put her in the cage. I'm thinking that she's a lot bigger than our little Angel was at 7 months old. Precious is the new owner of the house that's for sure.

I'm still working at McDonald's. At this time I'm training for Crew Trainer. It's a very long learning process. I just finished the first section of the book. Now I have around 50 video's and lessons to pass. I'll keep you posted on how everything is going.

Mom is doing pretty good. She has her good days and bad days. I think we've almost come to terms that she's always going to be in some kind of pain one way or another. After awhile you get tired of telling the doctors about the pain and they don't seem to do anything about it. Since we've moved, Mom uses the walker full time now. Here's Precious trying to use Mom's walker.

Well, that's all I can think of for right now. I'm going to try and keep my blog more updated. Maybe I'll just do it once a week, that might work better for me.

Take care and keep in touch!

Hello Everyone!

I'm so sorry that it's been almost 4 months since I've posted on my blog. There's been so many things that's been going on here since we moved into our new house. Between all the unpacking and working, doctors appointments. There just doesn't seem to me enough hours in the day.

Mom's health has really changed since we've moved. She fell the first week we got moved into the house. She hurt her arm pretty bad. I've been fighting her doctors to get them to do something about all the pain that she's been having. And the weakness that she has in both of her legs. Last month a dear friend Pam told me about a Pain Management doctor that she goes too. We made an appointment figured it couldn't hurt since her other doctors don't seem to be helping her any good. Dr. Columbus took x-rays and lots of blood work. They came back saying she's got very bad arthritis in her back and knees. We were also told yesterday for the first time that she's also got Fibromyalgia. This is something that none of the other doctors have bothered to tell us. He wants to give her shots in her back and knees. But we have to wait and she what her heart doctor says first since she's on blood thinners. So it's all another waiting game for us!!!!!
So we'll just have to see what happens next. We go back to see Dr. Columbus in 2 weeks.

I'm doing pretty good. We had Linda & Bob Murphy over this morning to help me start getting things hung up on the walls. It felt so good getting to see some of my wonderful pictures and angels out of boxes. I'm beginning to start getting my Angels and dolls unpacked now. I was finally able to find the display cabinets and shelves that I thought would work. This will be the first house that we've lived in that I'll actually be able to have all my collection out all at one time. Now the house is really beginning to fill like home!!!!!

Here's just a few pictures that I've taken so far. I'll be taking lots more once I get the rest unpacked and displayed where I want them to be.

This is one of the display units that I have in my bedroom.

This is is what my dresser looks like. I'm so excited that everything is coming together now.

I'll be posting more pictures after I get the rest of the boxes unpacked. I had over 40 boxes of just collectibles. I think that after working on a few boxes tonight I'm probably down to less than 15 boxes to work on. Then it will be just moving things around to where I think they look the best.

I'm going to try and keep my blog more up to date now.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend so far.

We're Moved!

I just wanted to write a quick note to let everyone know that we got all moved in. We had lots of dear church friends that helped us move. We even had someone pay for the moving truck! That was a big surprise to both of us. One of my very special church friends made us a big lunch for everyone to eat after we got everything moved into the new house. Mom and I are both very tired. We're just taking it easy and trying to get our barring in our new house. Angel seems to be taking it in stride! She's found her bed and is taking a nap. Well I'm off to work finding my work clothes before Monday.

Love you all so much.

There's only 5 days left till the move!

Hi Everyone,

Well, we only have 5 more days before we have to move out of the mobile home. We have several wonderful church members that have volunteered to help us move into our new home on Saturday May 30th. Mom and I wouldn't be able to do this without all our wonderful friends. Things are very busy here right now. There are boxes everywhere I turn. Anyone need a few McDonald boxes!?!?!?! Ha Ha!!!!!! Everywhere I turn there are more boxes I think they are multiplying! I'm hoping that once we get moved that Mom's health will improve some. She's not been doing very well during this whole process. Mom has been under so much stress right now that it's not been doing her illness any good. Please keep her in your prayers during this week and the move. This will probably be my last update before the move. I'll let everyone know when we're in our new house.

Take care everyone!

Packing and more packing........

Where does everything we collect come from? We've only been in this mobile home for almost 4 years and I just don't seem to be putting a dent into all of it. I'm almost finished packing up all the collectibles in the living room. I have the kitchen almost packed. I have some friends coming over tomorrow to help me take everything out of the shed and take it over to the new house. Then I'll be coming back to back the rest of the living room. Then I hope to start working on my bedroom. We're still trying to find someone that we can afford to remove the carpet in the house. It's in the living room, dinning room, hallway and both bedrooms. It's a shag carpet. We're just afraid that it will cause me to may problems with my allergies. We want to replace it will laminent floors. We've gotten two quotes, but they are way to much for us to afford right now. We were at Perkins for supper tonight, our waitress says that her boyfriend is a contractor. He does these kind of jobs on the side. They are suppose to call us tomorrow. We'd like to have this done before next weekend. This way it will be all done before we start moving in the furniture. So we'll just have to see how it works out. God has gotten us this far, so I know he'll work this out for us also.

I'll update you more in a few days.

The House is Ours!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we got the house. David our realtor brought us the keys this afternoon. I started packing a few boxes tonight.

Closing

Hi Everyone,

It's been a very long wait to get to the closing today. It took them till 3pm which was suppose to be the closing time to give us the amount that we needed for closing. We've got all the papers signed. Now we just have to wait for the lender to transfer the money over to the title company tomorrow before we can get the keys to the house. Then it will be ours! I've started lining up people to help us drive the moving van and help us move. It's wonderful to have church members that really want to help us get moved. We're moving from Tarpon Springs to New Port Richey so this will be a whole new city for us. I hope to have us all moved out of the mobile home by May 30th. So the next 2 weeks I'll be working on getting everything packed up here. We'll be so glad to have this move done and be in our new home.

We'd like to thank everyone for all their prayers during this long and stressful process.

Love you all so much!

Say a prayer!

We've been running errands for the mortgage company this afternoon after I got off work today. There's not a day that goes by that they don't call asking for something else. We took them all the proof of actually having a buyer for the mobile home. I spoke with David and he seems to think that the closing will go on Wednesday afternoon. If not it will be Thursday. Mom and I are just wanting this all over with so we can get moved and get our lives calmed back down. If that's possible. I'm hoping that we can get the large items moved the last saturday of May. Then we'll meet with the buyers of the mobile home when they get back into town the first week of June.

Please say a prayer that this will finally come to a close for both of us.

Thanks for all my special friends!

Closing Getting Closer!

Yes, it sounds like the closing on the house is getting closer. They have set a date for May 6th at 3pm to close on the new house. Now I know for sure that it's time to get started on the packing since we want to be moved by the last weekend of May.

So much to do know............where did my little fairy helpers go to!

I'll try to keep everyone updated as it gets closer to the move.

Love you all!!!!!!

New House Update!

NEW HOUSE

We went to check out the new house tonight. Everything seems to be going in order like it should. All the inspections were done today. We should know the results of all of them next week. So if everything works out we should be having closing on May 6th. Boy I looked at the calendar and that's not that far away. I've been holding off packing until we get closer to a closing date. I will be starting to get things packed here the first of next month. This has been a very stressful time for both of us. It will mean a longer travel time for me back and forth to work.

Please keep those prayers coming.........it's not over yet!

Monday, April 13, 2009

Just a quick update before heading to bed tonight. We went and signed the papers with the seller letting them know that we were interested in buying their house. It's just one more step that God has opened and closed the doors for us. Now the next steps are for the mortgage company to fully approve are loan and getting all the inspections done. Then once we know that it's all going through it will be time to start packing everything up. Then line up friends to help us move to the new house. It will be a longer drive for me to get to work and to Mom's doctors. But in the long run, I think this will be the best move for us. So we'll just have to see what happens in the next few weeks. I'll keep everyone updated as things happen.

Good Night!

Much needed update!

Good Evening,

So much has happened since I posted here. Last week we decided to try and sell the mobile home by ourselves. We marked it down very low which means we are taking a huge loss on it! This week I've gotten several calls regarding the mobile home. Today a couple came by and fell in love with the mobile home. They have to go through a background check with the park first. If they pass the background check they will be giving us a down payment with the full payment in a few weeks. They agreed to give us 60 days once they give us the full payment. We thought that we had a house that Mom and I really loved. But our realtor David found out that there had be a sinkhole registered on the house. Everyone that I've talked to says do go near it. So Mom and I have talked about it and told David that we think it's best that we just go another route. So we're need to get busy finding a mortgage and a house. Then it will be the big move and finding people to help us move. I truly thought that when we moved here 3 1/2 years ago that this would be our last move. Mom won't be able to help with the packing much. She's just not able to stand for long periods of times. So we'll just have to see what happens. All I can do right now is ask everyone to say lots of prayers that we find some place that we can afford and we both like. I'm totally turning all of this over to God, because I truly know that he will lead us in the right path.

Good Afternoon!

Sorry I haven't updated everyone lately. Things have been really crazy around here. Mom hasn't been feeling well the last couple of weeks. She started having stomach pains. We found out that 2 of her medicines she was taking they were causing her stomach to be inflamed. He took her off of the 2 medicines and gave her a shot for one of them because she can't be without it. If she is then she's in lots and lots of pain. That's now under control now. Then last Sunday she got a infection in one of her teeth. She called the doctor and got an antibiotic for it. She's going to need it pulled, but with her on blood thinner, it takes a little doing to get something like this done. We found out that her dental insurance doesn't cover having a tooth pulled. But I know that things will work out when the time comes. She's still having lots of problems with her legs. They are feeling like they won't hold her up at times and they hurt. We see her doctor on Tuesday so we'll be asking he if there's another pain killer she can use.

I"m doing pretty good. It's hard for me at times seeing Mom in so much pain. But I'm trying to put it in God's hand.

My little Angel is holding her own right now. She seems to be doing good right now. But I do know that there will be a time when things won't be so good. I really try not to think about it till that times comes along.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Thank you for being my friends!

Very Sad!

Just had a talk with the Vet tonight. Things aren't good. I'm not in very good spirits tonight.
Angels lungs sound good at this time. The heart is still bad. He told me tonight that it will be the lungs that will let us know when it's time to take the next step. This will be a step that I'm not looking forward to at all! :-( We're just trying to keep her quality of life good for her at this time.
I'm just putting this in Gods hands right now. That he will guide me to do the right thing for Angel at the right time. I just can't walk out of the Vet's office without crying right now. He's promised that he will help us find a new puppy when the time is right.

I take Mom to see her Internal/ Family doctor tomorrow after I get home from work. So we see what he has to say about her still being in so much pain. She was in lots of pain when I got home from work today. This is so hard for me to deal with. My heart really breaks to see her like this. I just wish there was something that I could do for her.

That's all for tonight. Off to get relaxed before heading to bed. Have a wonderful night.
