We're Moved!

I just wanted to write a quick note to let everyone know that we got all moved in. We had lots of dear church friends that helped us move. We even had someone pay for the moving truck! That was a big surprise to both of us. One of my very special church friends made us a big lunch for everyone to eat after we got everything moved into the new house. Mom and I are both very tired. We're just taking it easy and trying to get our barring in our new house. Angel seems to be taking it in stride! She's found her bed and is taking a nap. Well I'm off to work finding my work clothes before Monday.

There's only 5 days left till the move!

Hi Everyone,

Well, we only have 5 more days before we have to move out of the mobile home. We have several wonderful church members that have volunteered to help us move into our new home on Saturday May 30th. Mom and I wouldn't be able to do this without all our wonderful friends. Things are very busy here right now. There are boxes everywhere I turn. Anyone need a few McDonald boxes!?!?!?! Ha Ha!!!!!! Everywhere I turn there are more boxes I think they are multiplying! I'm hoping that once we get moved that Mom's health will improve some. She's not been doing very well during this whole process. Mom has been under so much stress right now that it's not been doing her illness any good. Please keep her in your prayers during this week and the move. This will probably be my last update before the move. I'll let everyone know when we're in our new house.

Packing and more packing........

Where does everything we collect come from? We've only been in this mobile home for almost 4 years and I just don't seem to be putting a dent into all of it. I'm almost finished packing up all the collectibles in the living room. I have the kitchen almost packed. I have some friends coming over tomorrow to help me take everything out of the shed and take it over to the new house. Then I'll be coming back to back the rest of the living room. Then I hope to start working on my bedroom. We're still trying to find someone that we can afford to remove the carpet in the house. It's in the living room, dinning room, hallway and both bedrooms. It's a shag carpet. We're just afraid that it will cause me to may problems with my allergies. We want to replace it will laminent floors. We've gotten two quotes, but they are way to much for us to afford right now. We were at Perkins for supper tonight, our waitress says that her boyfriend is a contractor. He does these kind of jobs on the side. They are suppose to call us tomorrow. We'd like to have this done before next weekend. This way it will be all done before we start moving in the furniture. So we'll just have to see how it works out. God has gotten us this far, so I know he'll work this out for us also.

The House is Ours!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we got the house. David our realtor brought us the keys this afternoon. I started packing a few boxes tonight.

Closing

Hi Everyone,

It's been a very long wait to get to the closing today. It took them till 3pm which was suppose to be the closing time to give us the amount that we needed for closing. We've got all the papers signed. Now we just have to wait for the lender to transfer the money over to the title company tomorrow before we can get the keys to the house. Then it will be ours! I've started lining up people to help us drive the moving van and help us move. It's wonderful to have church members that really want to help us get moved. We're moving from Tarpon Springs to New Port Richey so this will be a whole new city for us. I hope to have us all moved out of the mobile home by May 30th. So the next 2 weeks I'll be working on getting everything packed up here. We'll be so glad to have this move done and be in our new home.

We'd like to thank everyone for all their prayers during this long and stressful process.

We've been running errands for the mortgage company this afternoon after I got off work today. There's not a day that goes by that they don't call asking for something else. We took them all the proof of actually having a buyer for the mobile home. I spoke with David and he seems to think that the closing will go on Wednesday afternoon. If not it will be Thursday. Mom and I are just wanting this all over with so we can get moved and get our lives calmed back down. If that's possible. I'm hoping that we can get the large items moved the last saturday of May. Then we'll meet with the buyers of the mobile home when they get back into town the first week of June.

Please say a prayer that this will finally come to a close for both of us.

Closing Getting Closer!

Yes, it sounds like the closing on the house is getting closer. They have set a date for May 6th at 3pm to close on the new house. Now I know for sure that it's time to get started on the packing since we want to be moved by the last weekend of May.

So much to do know............where did my little fairy helpers go to!

New House Update!

NEW HOUSE

We went to check out the new house tonight. Everything seems to be going in order like it should. All the inspections were done today. We should know the results of all of them next week. So if everything works out we should be having closing on May 6th. Boy I looked at the calendar and that's not that far away. I've been holding off packing until we get closer to a closing date. I will be starting to get things packed here the first of next month. This has been a very stressful time for both of us. It will mean a longer travel time for me back and forth to work.

Please keep those prayers coming.........it's not over yet!

Just a quick update before heading to bed tonight. We went and signed the papers with the seller letting them know that we were interested in buying their house. It's just one more step that God has opened and closed the doors for us. Now the next steps are for the mortgage company to fully approve are loan and getting all the inspections done. Then once we know that it's all going through it will be time to start packing everything up. Then line up friends to help us move to the new house. It will be a longer drive for me to get to work and to Mom's doctors. But in the long run, I think this will be the best move for us. So we'll just have to see what happens in the next few weeks. I'll keep everyone updated as things happen.

Much needed update!

Good Evening,

So much has happened since I posted here. Last week we decided to try and sell the mobile home by ourselves. We marked it down very low which means we are taking a huge loss on it! This week I've gotten several calls regarding the mobile home. Today a couple came by and fell in love with the mobile home. They have to go through a background check with the park first. If they pass the background check they will be giving us a down payment with the full payment in a few weeks. They agreed to give us 60 days once they give us the full payment. We thought that we had a house that Mom and I really loved. But our realtor David found out that there had be a sinkhole registered on the house. Everyone that I've talked to says do go near it. So Mom and I have talked about it and told David that we think it's best that we just go another route. So we're need to get busy finding a mortgage and a house. Then it will be the big move and finding people to help us move. I truly thought that when we moved here 3 1/2 years ago that this would be our last move. Mom won't be able to help with the packing much. She's just not able to stand for long periods of times. So we'll just have to see what happens. All I can do right now is ask everyone to say lots of prayers that we find some place that we can afford and we both like. I'm totally turning all of this over to God, because I truly know that he will lead us in the right path.

Good Afternoon!

Sorry I haven't updated everyone lately. Things have been really crazy around here. Mom hasn't been feeling well the last couple of weeks. She started having stomach pains. We found out that 2 of her medicines she was taking they were causing her stomach to be inflamed. He took her off of the 2 medicines and gave her a shot for one of them because she can't be without it. If she is then she's in lots and lots of pain. That's now under control now. Then last Sunday she got a infection in one of her teeth. She called the doctor and got an antibiotic for it. She's going to need it pulled, but with her on blood thinner, it takes a little doing to get something like this done. We found out that her dental insurance doesn't cover having a tooth pulled. But I know that things will work out when the time comes. She's still having lots of problems with her legs. They are feeling like they won't hold her up at times and they hurt. We see her doctor on Tuesday so we'll be asking he if there's another pain killer she can use.

I"m doing pretty good. It's hard for me at times seeing Mom in so much pain. But I'm trying to put it in God's hand.

My little Angel is holding her own right now. She seems to be doing good right now. But I do know that there will be a time when things won't be so good. I really try not to think about it till that times comes along.

Very Sad!

Just had a talk with the Vet tonight. Things aren't good. I'm not in very good spirits tonight.
Angels lungs sound good at this time. The heart is still bad. He told me tonight that it will be the lungs that will let us know when it's time to take the next step. This will be a step that I'm not looking forward to at all! :-( We're just trying to keep her quality of life good for her at this time.
I'm just putting this in Gods hands right now. That he will guide me to do the right thing for Angel at the right time. I just can't walk out of the Vet's office without crying right now. He's promised that he will help us find a new puppy when the time is right.

I take Mom to see her Internal/ Family doctor tomorrow after I get home from work. So we see what he has to say about her still being in so much pain. She was in lots of pain when I got home from work today. This is so hard for me to deal with. My heart really breaks to see her like this. I just wish there was something that I could do for her.

Hi everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in such a long time. So many things have been going on here. Angel is having a few bad days right now. She woke us up Saturday morning getting sick then I had to take her to the Vet before they closed. She seems to be doing all right today. Mom is still having lots of issues right now. When we went to see her doctor 2 weeks ago he wanted her to go have physical therapy done. We did the first session last week. So I'm just waiting to see if it's going to do her any good. So now between Vet's and doctors I'm going to 3 different ones a week now. So it's rush home from work and get changed then back out the door again. It's just something that I have to get use to doing. I wouldn't have it any other way. I can't believe that the weekend is over all ready and that I'll have to go back to work Monday. It really felt good Saturday just being lazy. I haven't been able to do that for a couple of weekends. I sure wish the weekends would last longer.

Happy New Year Everyone! I just can't believe that it's another new year all ready. Where did last year go? I'm hoping that Mom does much better this year. I just wish that there was a way that I could take her pain away! Angel had another spell on Monday evening. It had been almost 3 weeks since she had her last spell. The vet says that we're doing good if she is only having them this far apart. I'm so glad that tomorrow is Friday! I'm so ready for it.

Nothing much going on here tonight.

Merry Christmas to All!

Just wanted to take this time to wish everyone a safe Merry Christmas! Mom and I just spent a very quite day at home. Since I have to be up at 3:30am in the morning. I decided that I was going to be very lazy today. Mom decided that we wouldn't be sharing gifts this year. So I just followed what she said.

Well, I'm working 5am to 1pm Friday and Saturday due to being closed today. Which I don't mind since I only have to do it twice a year.

Mom went to the doctors this week. I really think she's beginning to understand that her pain is going to be around most of the time now. He has given her a pain medication to help when it's really bad. It's just hard for her to get use to all of these new changes.

Good Morning!

Boy, I can't believe i'm sitting here at 5:07 am writing in my blog on a Monday morning. The weekend was so busy for me. We had our Christmas Production at our church on Sunday. So I spent Saturday from 9am to 12:30pm taking pictures during the dress reheresal. Didn't realize that I had taking over 200 pictures. Then on Sunday during the program I took a little over 60 more pictures. Now I'm working on a special album for the choir director. His album holds 200 pictures so I started last night printing some of the pictures. So far I have a 100 printed off. Need to get more ink tonight. I want to give this to him next Sunday.

I can't believe Christmas will be here next week. Need to get my packages mailed this week.

It's almost time for me to leave for work so I'll close for now. Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Hi Everyone!

Everyone is doing pretty good here. Mom is still having pain, but she tries to keep going. I'm hoping when we see the doctor next week he'll listen to what we have to say. I really think he's treating her for something totally different. But I could be wrong, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Angel is doing pretty good this week. So far she hasn't had any spells this week.

We had our pictures taken at Dog Lovers in November. We wanted to get them taken since Angel's health was getting worse. They came out so great. Mom doesn't like her picture she thinks that she doesn't take a good picture. But she says that all the time. Even when I take a picture of her. I've posted the pictures up on the side of the blog for everyone to look at.

I'm so glad that tomorrow is Friday. Saturday I'm taking pictures at the Dress Rehersal of our Christmas Program that we are having Sunday morning. Then I'm taking a few more pictures Sunday Morning. So it's going to be another busy weekend.

Good Evening!

Today was a very quiet and peaceful day. I just relaxed some this morning which was nice. Then Mom and I went to our special Angel Shop. I picked up a couple of angels that I had put on hold. I figure it's my Birthday present to me. After we left the Angel Shop Mom and I went out for lunch. By that time Mom was getting tired and starting to hurt again.

Angel has had a good day so far. She hasn't had any spells today which is good. I put a picture up so that everyone would be able to see who I'm talking about on here. She's my baby. I've had her since she was 6 weeks old. Angel is such a loving dog.

Can't believe that Monday I will be 52 years old!

Family Update!

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I updated everyone on what's been going on here. Since I told everyone about Angels latest health issues. She's been having a lot more spells. Seems like she's having them at least once a week now. We've been keeping the Vet updated on when she has the spells. He checked her lungs the last time we were there and said everything sounded fine. Mom and I decided that due to Angels health issues that we would take her to Dog Lover's and get our family pictures done. So we got some cute family pictures they were even able to get Angel to pose by herself. Can't wait till I get them. Should have them next week.

Mom has been having a lot more health issues the lately. Since she's been taking the steroids we really thought it was going to help her. I've noticed in the last few weeks that she's worse than when she first went on the steroids. She told me tonight that her skin hurts when she washes. Which doesn't sound good. She's in so much pain all the time and her legs don't feel like they are going to hold her up. We were sitting in a restaurant tonight she started telling me that she was tired of caring anymore. She's tired of hurting and feeling like she can't do anything anymore. I told her that I didn't want her to think like that. She has a doctors appointment in a couple of weeks. So I think it's time for me to step in and tell the doctor just what I think about what's going on right now with Mom. It really hurts me to see her like this. She really wants to do things around the house and go places but it takes all she has to do what she wants. She's finally calmed down tonight so I'll just see what happens when we see the doctor.

I'm doing pretty good other than worrying about Angel and Mom. Work is OK! I was able to finish getting all my Christmas decorations done on Tuesday after work. I'm putting up a few pictures on here.

I'm so glad that tomorrow is Friday. I just wish the weekends would go so much slower!!!!!!!

Well, that's enough rattling on tonight. Hope I didn't bore anyone tonight.

Angel's Update!

So much has been happening here the last couple of weeks. Either with Mom or Angel. This is really hard for me to write at this time.

Well we were told that Angel's heart is getting worse. Three years ago we were told that she had a stage 3 heart murmur. When we took her in for some skin issues we were told that her heart murmur is a stage 5 1/2 now. Which means her heart is getting worse. There's nothing they can do except to make her comfortable. There are times when she has problems keeping fluid out of her lungs. When this happens we have to give her a pill to help get the fluid away from the lungs. This is a very fast acting pill. It usually only takes about 20 minutes to work, which helps her to stop coughing and choking. She's had one of these spells twice in the last 2 weeks. The vet is telling us that once we starting giving her this pill twice a day. He is saying that she will probably only live 6 to 8 months more. This is the hardest thing that I've ever had to hear about Angel.

Mom and I have had Angel since she was 6 months old. She will be 13 years old next August. I know she's getting old, but that doesn't make it any easier. As far as I'm concerned Angel will always be my baby. Angel is a female Shih Tzu for those that don't know what kind of dog that we have. She's really helped Mom and I get through some rough times. She's been there when I really needed some extra special loving.

It really bothers me when people say "it's just a dog"!!!!!! Angel is more than a dog, she's a friend and a family member.

Mom and I will be so heart broken when her time comes. No other dog will ever be able to replace the love and time that we've had with her. She will always be in our hearts.
